This is the title screen for The Mystical Journey. This screen will come up as soon as the program is first run. The background image is from a fight scene that takes place in a forest.
This is the main map screen for The Mystical Journey. Every level in the game can be accessed from this map. When it's finished, TMJ should have around 60 levels.
This is the first village, Roama, in The Mystical Journey. The opening cinema will introduce the player to a deadly threat here in a cave.
This cave exists to the south-west of Roama. After learning of the monster in Roama Cave, you must journey to Tanden, through this cave, Tanden Cave, to get an elixir to save an old man.
This is Roama Castle, home of the king who rules over Roama and Roama Cave. Later in the game, you can go here to meet a new character who will join your party.
This is an example of the magic, inferno, as used during combat. It fades the screen to red then ripples it.
This shows how combat will look when the enemy and the player are waiting for their turns to make a move.
This shows the menu system in the fight scenes of TMJ. The left menu allows the player to choose what kind of action to take; the right menu breaks down the options further.
This shows how hits are displayed after attacking an enemy. This background is the same one seen on the title screen.
This background would be in a fight scene that takes place where a river passes through mountains.
This background would be in a fight scene where a bridge crosses over a river.
This is the stat screen that is accessed by pressing [ESC] while on the map screen.  From here, the colors can be configured, the game can be saved, a game can be loaded, or the player can quit TMJ (but why would one want to do that?).
